- What is mold testing?
Mold testing is generally understood to test the accuracy of the two halves of the mold in mold processing companies.
With a product sample after the mold design development, once the mold is completed, there is a very important, indispensable process called mold testing. This process helps us confirm whether the mold functions properly and whether the product after production matches the sample product.
Usually, for the mold testing process, each mold typically produces 3-5 sample pieces. In addition to testing new molds, we often need to test the mold after each adjustment or structural change.
- Mold Testing Procedure at ATT Viet Nam.

The mold testing process at ATT involves the following steps:
Step 1: The sales team receives information about the mold, checks the quantity, and then hands over the mold to the mold technical department to check the external condition and provide initial assessments of the mold’s status.
Step 2: After checking the mold and its condition, the sales team proceeds to quote the mold testing cost based on the number of samples and the testing materials required by the customer.
Step 3: The customer confirms the mold testing cost and issues a purchase order (PO).
Step 4: The sales department confirms the sample delivery time, and at the same time, the production team carries out mold testing and produces the initial sample products for the customer.
Step 5: Deliver the samples to the customer and complete the mold testing process.
For mold testing orders, issues such as inappropriate mold gloss, scratches on the mold, or non-functioning molds may arise. In such cases, the technical team will provide advice and recommend the most suitable solutions for the customer. Due to this dedication in production, many customers always choose ATT as the place to produce and process the initial sample products for their own products.
- 3. Mold Testing Project for Air Conditioner Fan Molds at ATT Viet Nam.
In June 2024, ATT Vietnam had the honor of collaborating with a major partner to develop mold sampling and mass-produce detailed plastic components for the 55L and 90L air conditioner fan product lines.
ATT received a total of 21 molds for 25 components, with the largest mold weighing 3250kg. This project involved significant assets and efforts. However, due to trust and quality, the customer chose ATT as a long-term partner, entrusting their assets for mold development. Surpassing expectations, ATT Vietnam successfully manufactured the fan components according to plan, earning high praise from the customer’s IQC team. This strengthened trust has led to continuous development of new projects.
